Best carto punch or best carto punch technique?
Hi,

I'm having trouble making holes of the right size in my cartos. I have tried the hammer and nail and the donut ring and screw punches but too often the hole ends up too big.

Can anyone recommend a reliable technique or punch so I don't waste so much juice and cartos.

This is for an AGR so I can't use the pre-punched cartos which all have a flange as far as I know.

Thanks

Chris

Are you getting flooding?

Use pre punched cartos with two holes and use a punch to make one bigger!

I've not had a flood yet.

BTW my punch is just a normal cheap screw in one.

Yes I'm getting flooding. I have a stack of un-punched cartos I'm trying to use up

I have 3 agr tanks and no you can get pre punched boges without the flanges from loads of places although I've not see pre-punched dc cartos withought flanges.

Don't bother with the smok cartos I find they flood almost instantly. I live the agr tanks just wish they were 22mm sothey looked better .

Ditto on agr but the threads aren't as good as an o ring tank and my mint mix cracks anything plastic Sad....I find my 50/50 mix is fine with just one hole.never feel the need for two..I have 3 punches and the Siam one I have is the best for me Smiling

By the looks of it the kir fanis punch has a washer attached to stop you punching too far into the carto, great idea! Just buy a couple of washers and pop them on your punch till you get the ideal length on yours. Gonna do this myself.
