most if there good will sort it out for a small fee

I got it from eBay about 6 months ago second hand so no idea who made it? Hence why I came here thinking someone may be able to fix it for me, as said happy to cover any costs.

I know little about the chip or mod, but if there's only 4 wires to de-solder in order to return it, then unless you can get a good deal on a return from Evolv, you could buy a new chip and put it in yourself? Know anyone near you with soldering skills?

It is super easy to pop that board out Smiling

1. unplug battery connector
2. unplug balance connector
3. push the board out (from inside towards outside), display cover will pop out
4. now you can take board out, not all the way
5. de-solder 4 wires
6. send to Evolv

If you are scared to do it I can do it for you, but I don't think that it would be smart to send it to Croatia due to postage cost.

Cheers for the info chaps, the front is stuck pretty fast to be fair, will take another look when I get a chance tomorrow, can't afford to replace the board at nearly £60 so would have to send it off for repair to Evolv.

Shame the board has gone, it looks like a nice well made mod.

It is a lovely mod for sure.

I have tried removing the front panel to get to the board but it must be glued as it won't budge Mad

Just a thought, have you contacted Evolv directly? Im sure I can remember reading about a guy who had a DNA board fail, he emailed them and explained the problem, and they asked him to ship the whole intact mod to them in the states, they replaced the board for him, and then shipped it back. (nice chaps Smiling)

Must have been a year or so ago, apologies but I cannot remember the type of mod (custom or otherwise), warranty conditions or cost involved, but iirc they were very helpful. (you could ask them to quote for it at the very least).

Could be worth a shot, it is a nice looking mod and it'd be a shame to see it binned.

I think that is my best option at this point, will get in contact and see what they say, thanks for the info Thumbs Up
