Does ECCA still exist?
At a time when a lot is going off in the ecig world, ECCA seems unnervingly quiet (except the odd post by Caerulea) - does it still exist?

If it does, why hasn't there been anything tangible from them?

Are they EVER going to have another vote as to who should run it?

The last I heard was that there was no elected Chair or Vice Chair Sad

Sorry to be a pain, but ECCA was set up for a reason - does that reason not exist anymore?

Russell

PS is this a genuine set of questions, or am I just another Troll? Tongue

RE: Does ECCA still exist?
without user support it cant do a lot.. without money it cant do a lot..

and deep down maybe there isnt much of a need for such an organization..

the trade organization is there to protect the interest of the trade.. currently trade interests match consumer interests.. maybe in another time and place this would not be but currently it is this way..

what can a consumer organization do.. not a lot at the moment..

... And to follow on from Trog's point, if we aren't successful in all of this, there won't be many consumers left. Sadly.

I don't agree. I think there will still be lots of consummers left but maybe not many EU vendors.Sad

If there is a 18month period between application and market availability, and the customs follow through on their task to prevent a black market, the VAST majority of e-smokers/vapers will not be able to buy products during that period. And will smoke.

Remember it's mostly the bunch on here and other forums that will DIY or buy rebuildables that might get around the restrictions.

I doubt that customs will ever keep track on goods from China as the sheer volume of parcels to the EU must be massive. I doubt if they will restrict anything for consummers personal use anyway but we will see and time will tell.

It is IMO the vendors that are in most in danger though.

Anyways I keep telling peeps to stock up to lessen the risk.
