Evolv DNA 20 twin18500 box mod
I know breakthru has had his talented mits on this board .
Mine has arrived and a few encolsure,s .
I'm still pondering battery options I'm trying to keep it small as possible but then you have the trade off for mah .

İmage

I did have my mind set on this nice rosewood box from the states $24

But they only ship UPS and that $24 What?
It's nice but no way am I shelling out that for shipping .

RE: Evolv DNA 20 any one playing with this ?
I'm looking to put one in my pirate box.
Got the DNA and waiting for some tools to make a nice job of the wood.
Here is one Mark did for VTTV.

Iv'e a few smaller lipo batts on the way, wood or metal for this board as it's not cheap like the LM or OKR regs . Iv'e all so salvaged a few chrome buttons and micro switches from a scrap LCD TV the built on switches are fragile .

Only Mark's on VTTV didn't go quite to plan, did it. He managed to pull the display off !!

I think a few displays have come off during modding.

Well this has been a tricky one so far. Not the DNA it's self just the enclosure with it being aluminum .
The flexi cable to the display could have been longer and the on board switches the same size .This would have made my life a lot easier but I'm sure Evolve have a reason for this they know their shit . I'm still waiting on a battery so fired it up with an 18650 and surprisingly it worked .A bigger enclosure and this would be a couple of hours of a job , but that's not why we do this is it .Big Grin

Well I'm still waiting on the 1200mah LiPo battery but other than that it's near enough finished .
İmage

after running it for a while with an 18650 taped to the back I can't see the planed battery being up to the job .
so may be plan B is the most practical an 80mm x 24mm x 54mm box this will take the charging circuit and an 18650 .

Could you divulge where I could get hold of one of those boxes? Those are some good dimensions Smiling
