Aluminium oxidises at an incredible rate.

You basically have two options:
1. Lacquer it and then cry when it starts to oxidise under the lacquer.
2. Polish regularly with something very mildly abrasive. Something like jewellers rouge would be excellent.

Rolling

I use Autosol and a micro fiber cloth on my bare ally CopperVape mod, works a treat! Seems to make the finish last longer after prolonged use of autosol, I seem to need to polish it less often!

Autosol is perfect.

I recommended rouge as the abrasive is exceptionally fine.

Very similar but slightly less effective. Don't know if that's down to additives or its being less abrasive.

If you have it, the difference isn't substantial enough to warrant forking out for a tube of autosol.

RE: Keepin the shiny, shiny?
I use Maguires Ultimate Compound on my guitars' brass work and the body paint etc, it's a finer grit than autosol, just.
also it smells like sweeties Smiling
if you have a dremel with a wool buffing pad it makes short work with a good compound, autoglym, autosol, Maguires etc are all excellent.

RE: Keepin the shiny, shiny?
I've used NEVR-DULL on aluminium to good effect.
