Mesh & Wick Combo
Hi

Just wanted to share my mesh and wick combo method, I've not seen this before but it my have already have been done.

Mesh size is 35mm x 45mm
Wick is 3mm and is just over 50mm long
İmage

Fold one size of the mesh as a lip, this make it easier to start the roll
İmage

Work them together until your wick fits into the hole.
İmage

I still oxidise with a torch but just the top of the wick, sorry it's hard to oxidise and take a photo at the same time so my be out of focus
İmage

The finished product, should look like this
İmage

I normal cut the bottom off with the mesh flush
İmage

I'm using Kanthal D 0.6*0.1 and I've cut the top to size now
İmage

the end result is a cracking vape.
İmage

Thanks Nigel

RE: Mesh & Wick Combo
Its called a hybrid wick nige, personally I don't see the point of doing it in a genesis,

Mesh gives a much better flavour in gennys than silica

RE: Mesh & Wick Combo
Wouldn't it be better to leave a bit of silica sticking out of the bottom to prevent the mesh touching the bottom of the tank potentially causing shorts? Just a thought...

You probably right, the problem I was having is my mesh didn't suck juice up as good when my tank got below half way and now I don't have to keep tilting the genny horizontally all the time. Each to there own, thanks for the feed back.

You could be right, I've seen method were the mesh isn't oxidise and they don't have short issues, in fact it was Dave Dorn.

Thanks for the feed back.
