Protected / Unprotected Batteries
Hi all - could someone tell me what the difference between Protected and Unprotected batteries are.

I have always used EGO type batteries, but have just ordered a VAMO.

I chose the Panasonic 18650 batteries as they seem to get good reviews. Are these protected or unprotected, and does it really matter?

Thanks
John

RE: Protected / Unprotected Batteries
I just found an answer to my own question:
Protected / Un-protected batteries

So I see it is bad news to let the battery drain below 3 volts or you can ruin them.
Cheers

The VAMO will stop working at 3.2V in order to protect your battery for you, as will most regulated mods. You only really need to take care with an unregulated mod (ie one that is basically a tube and a switch).
