RE: Smoant Battlestar ticking?!
This is a known issue and here is the fix:

Lay it down very gently and carefully open it with non-magnetic, non-spark tools. Once it`s opened cut the blue wire, or is it the red one? No, it`s definitely the green one. Or the black one. Maybe.

That should fix it and you`re now quite safe.

Probably.

Yep, I do....oh wait, you probably knew that! Sorry Big Grin

Been monitoring mine since I put new batts in, and it doesn't seem to be sapping any more power than I would expect - I'm down to 50% - not been hammering it, so I expect to get maybe another day out of it, which is about normal for me - I rotate 3 or 4 mods on a daily basis, so it's not used exclusively.

@Gizzmo - does your vgod consume more power than 'normal'?
Just curious Smiling

RE: Smoant Battlestar ticking?!
When I said the ticking when display was off wasn't ideal, I chose my words quite carefully. Not necessarily bad, but not ideal.

I would prefer the mod didn't tick with display off because there's no need for it, and it may take a little more power than needed. However, the power involved may be small, and not noticeable if the mod's in use.

It just might make a difference if you left the mod for a week or so unused.
