Thanks for that video, it sums up how so many millions of us Vapers,UK,Europe and Worldwide feel about this situation- it's only some of the Asian Vapers who might remain unaffected in the coming year or 2, with Europe passing regulation, USA considering restrictions and we need more well thought out informative videos to try to get the point across.
I will try to share this with as many people as I can.

Unfortunately to impose a working ban You only need one or two very public cases that dish out a dissuasive punishment

For instance £20,000 and a year in jail might be seen as both proportionate and dissuasive for a vendor
But as little as a £50 fine and a criminal record might be seen as proportionate and dissuasive for a member of the public

TPD Article 23 section 3

3.   Member States shall lay down rules on penalties applicable to infringements of the national provisions adopted pursuant to this Directive and shall take all measures that are necessary to ensure that these penalties are enforced. The penalties provided for shall be effective, proportionate and dissuasive. Any financial administrative penalty that may be imposed as a result of an intentional infringement may be such as to offset the economic advantage sought through the infringement.

Food for thought....

I spoke to the manager of my local 'Vapourized' shop this morning about the TPD.
He told me in no uncertain terms that it will not affect their business.
He was sworn to secrecy not to tell me how or why.

I have no idea in its current form why it wouldn't affect them. Logical conclusions:

1) talking out of his erse
2) TPD implementation will not affect the UK as we think.

A glimmer of hope possibly?

I vote for option 1.

I am tempted to agree.
You've dashed the glimmer of hope.

Just some thoughts

Vapourized is a chain of B&M plus online - the advertising rules won't affect the individual shops much - they can still use posters/flyers & POS material.

If they sell mainly Chinese manufactured kit/juice,they may know what these manufacturers intend. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that these manufacturers(in conjunction with their EU customers) may get an agreed number of their products TPD licensed-especially if there is not too much additional cost for multiple member states.

I wouldn't have thought the Chinese will just let their market go without a whimper-they will do their best to find a way to make money despite the new regulations.

Vapers comprise both enthusiasts and those who buy whatever their local B&Ms/supermarkets/corner shops are selling - we don't really know what the proportions are but I would guess at least 80% of vapers are not enthusiasts HeHe!
