I always use voltage with a nova....3.4 is perfect I find.
3mm silica and 5 wraps of .20 kanthal...1.8ohms.

Use this converter.
http://www.supercircuits.com/resources/t...-converter

Do a ohm check, type it in, then type 4 volts and you you will get watt's. Enter this into your mod.
If you still get a but taste you have probably burnt out your attie and you will need get a new one.

RE: burnt taste from vamo
When I got my vamo I also bought an aga-t2, which might sound odd seeming as I originally started out for the past year on clearos. But I haven't looked back since getting my first genesis...it's awesome. I do have a nova sitting around somewhere on the table, but I find the flavours kinda muted in it recently.

"Revenge is a dish best served cold" Yeah, thats why they invented microwave ovens...

My toys:
Tesla, AGA-TD+, Smok Octupus RDA, Vision Eternity, Phoenix/A7
Smok Magneto + kick + Kayfun Lite Plus
Vamo V3, AGA-T2, ViVi Nova STV, IGO-S HeHe!

RE: burnt taste from vamo
Ok so im just gonna buy a new vivi nova tank after work.

im gonna try a new liquid. Fill all the way to 3ml and set the vamo to mode 2 at 6w to play it safe.

Should this be ok and stop it tasting burnt?

What mix of pg/vg is gonna be best for my nova?

Thanks for all your help guys!

Save yourself some heart and headaches...buy an AgaT2 and some 400 mesh.

Use silica wick in it to get you up and running while you learn how to properly setup mesh wicks. You'll thank me in the longrun Wink

I would start even lower than 6W. I've had a liquid that won't work at more than 4.5W. Start low and work up, and as soon as yo get a hint of a burnt taste drop down a click.

PG/VG mix doesn't matter too much - what matters is how thick it is. If you want to experiment with thinning it try adding a little water or vodka to some of the liquid (though that opens up the whole debate of how fussy you need to be about the quality of water you should use).

Do you put a little liquid directly on the coil when you start using a new head? Just take the silica cap of and put a drop of two of liquid on the coil. You could prewet the wicks too. It ensures that you at least don't start off with a coil that is too dry.
