Last Day - 19 May 2017 - for freedom of vaping in the EU - iVapour Changeover / TPD
Article 20 of the EU Tobacco Products Directive is coming into force tomorrow, and consists of a long list of new regulations that apply to placing e-cigs on the market.

Due to this and a variety of other reasons we have decided to relaunch iVapour on a new platform.

One major change is that iVapour.co.uk and iVapour-elixir.co.uk will be merging to just one site iVapour.co.uk.
Some advantages will include a more effective checkout system and easier navigation.

The downside is that new accounts will need to be created (but if desired, orders can still be made while not logged in as a guest) and old accounts will not be visible / obsolete.

The new site iVapour.co.uk is now live, and iVapour-elixir.co.uk will be live until this evening, and then redirected to iVapour.co.uk.

Also the new site will only feature TPD-compliant products (but there will be a few non-compliant products which will show as out of stock, to show the relevant product that spares of which are still available).

What is the TPD ?

If you didn’t already know, Article 20 of the EU Tobacco Products Directive consists of a long list of new regulations that apply to e-cigs.

Main changes that are relevant that restricts what can be sold:
  • No nicotine containing e-liquid bottles over 10ml size
  • No nicotine strength over 20mg/ml (2%)
  • No tanks over 2ml size
But also the new regulations that are coming in to force this year require all manufacturers to get full emissions and toxicology tests, and then submit the data with the CAS numbers (the chemical equations of the flavourings used from the flavour manufacturer) to the MHRA, in order to get a market authorisation for it to be allowed to be sold.

(Whatever) liquid manufacturing company therefore has to work out what flavours to spend this investment on, and it appears that Janty are not bothering (presumably because they are not based in the UK) with any of their liquid, and so unfortunately all the Janty liquid is being phased out by us.

We can not sell any non-compliant stock after the 19 May 2017.

We are sorry for any inconvenience (and EU directives!) and wish you happy vaping! Smiling

It is end of an era - Good night and good luck!
