RE: Temp Control or Standard Wattage ?
I've only started trying TC as of last weekend. Tbh I'm not sure it's for me, will probably go back to watts.

RE: Temp Control or Standard Wattage ?
I voted 'mixture of both' but that may not be totally accurate.

I typically use 'temperature control' as 'temperature protection'. I set up in TC mode with the temp set a bit above what my wire typically reaches. This way if something goes wrong and coil temp goes high my mod will cut back the power and I avoid getting a dry hit.

Works for me, but I really consider that a watt limited vape with benefits Smiling

RE: Temp Control or Standard Wattage ?
First I learned as much as possible about TC, then I understood it,
then I started using it, now I use it 90% of the time because I can
shape the vape far more than with VW.

TC with SS on a drone is the best setup I've used in almost 6 years

RE: Temp Control or Standard Wattage ?
tbh it depends on what your using
tc helps with a badly wicked tank and can give you a little more control over the vape with a well wicked tank but not really needed
however with a dripper and a numb git like me its a god send spesh in a squonker
i have messed about with tc for quite a bit and never had much luck with it till i tried a dna chip on ss and tbh till you have tried one tc can seem pointless
the prob seems to be on other chips it seems to be temp limiting not temp control ie when you hit the temp the power cuts till it drops then comes back till temp reached like a pulseing
to date the best ecigggy thing i have purchased is a vt inbox that lets you vape the dripper bone dry with no dry hits

Only have one regulated device - use watts on that

RE: Temp Control or Standard Wattage ?
I've dabbled with TC over the years, but the SX550J is the first chipset to absolutely nail it, IMHO (DNA250 came very close).

I've always maintained that the main benefit of TC is when running a build with a lot of wire. Set the joules/watts sky high for instant ramp-up, then the TC cuts in and maintains the perfect temperature.

For this reason I love TC; think I'll be using it more often. For more pedestrian builds, I see no benefit unless you're a relatively new vaper and need the safety net
