The "Flying Vaper"
We have threads every now and then asking about taking kit on planes. I've been doing this for over five years, and as I've just got back from a business trip to New Orleans (via Chicago) I thought I'd review the state of things from my latest experience.

Firstly, I travel with carry on only (no checked baggage), but I must remind people at this point that things with lithium batteries in are not welcome in checked baggage! Loose batteries for mods etc MUST go in carry on.

I took with with me: my Super T Simplicity 14500, eBaron Dripper Spiral, Grail for Diver, six 14500 batteries, battery charger, spare wicks and coils, and 40ml of eliquid (one 30ml and one 10ml).

At each of the airports involved (Manchester, Chicago and New Orleans) my experience was the same: liquid in the liquids bag for security, everything else in my briefcase with my iPad and charger, Simplicity with Spiral fitted just put in the tray in full sight. No comment was passed at any of the security checks (except at Chicago where my big Grateful Dead belt buckle was much admired Smiling ).

I was flying with American Airlines and on one of the four flights they said ecigs were not allowed. I just "stealth vaped" openly on all four flights and no one commented. I also did the same in the lounges without comment.

I noticed fewer Vapers in New Orleans than in other US cities I've been in, but there was a big car with a advertising display for a brand of cigalikes cruising around the French Quarter each day.

I won't slave for beggar's pay,
likewise gold and jewels,
but I would slave to learn the way
to sink your ship of fools

I do business trips to Preston every week, though I did get to go Cape Town last year, stealth vaped all the way there on BA.

Presumably not drawing attention to yourself by blowing clouds but not exactly hiding it

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but was wondering if the Prof is imparting some old school esoteric knowledge that might come in handy Wink

Not vaping blatantly I would guess...

That's what I do on planes or trains..
..cup e-cig battery in hand, don't blow massive plumes...
.. but don't worry about slight visible wisps...

just you wait till our mate tuey reads that Wink

Interesting to read peoples experience of vape on a plane though..
I wouldnt dream of stealthing as the satisfaction of knowing I was higher & mightier than a bog standard (generally stubborn ignorant) smoker at either end would get me through my daily aero commute each day on my trip to work...
OH FOR THE HIGH LIFE..... Wink
Point is... I can go without for a hell of a lot longer since I started vaping..
The stinkie hit never satisfied as long as a good vape blast

RE: The "Flying Vaper"
Stealth vaping on a plane

1. Take a big pull on your vape of choice
2. Lung it then take a second inhale of fresh air (key)
3. Hold in till you go a bit light headed
4. Exhale into an item of clothing or similar.
4(a). Alternatively to step 4 a very slow exhale will give little visible vapour

Practice in your bedroom this evening. It works.

Simple but mega effective
