RE: Thread Sizes?
problem is that as the price is in $ are we to assume that the tools are shipped from China (a month or more to uk). I checked the shipping which amounts to more than the price of the tap/or die. Very interesting for those who need to know the sizes but if you wish to buy in the uk you will get a better price (with shipping) from a uk vendor.
There can be good prices from China but you need to consider the shipping, or free shipping. Another thing to consider is always buy HSS or better rather than carbon steel. If not mentioned in the description then its safe to assume that its carbon steel.

Why is the 901 8mm and the 801 9mm? Shouldn't it be the other way round?

RE: Thread Sizes?
they're from a US company AFAIK, the original post was copy/pasted from an ECF thread made by Cisco over 3 years ago.
Where they are manufactured I don't know and here's their website http://www.victornet.com/productpages/tapanddie1.html
