No. I much prefer vaping to smoking, and my stye of vaping is so different to smoking that I don't think of vaping as a substitute for smoking any more. Cigarettes are small, tubular, don't produce anywhere near enough vapour and don't taste very nice. Give me a great big 500w box mod, airy RDA and tasty juice any day! Big Grin

EDIT: Taking into account that nor being harmful and there not being any kind of bans on cigarettes you'd never have quit smoking for ban/health reasons... You could have quit anyway, of course.

I'd most definitely still be smoking. I used to love it HeHe!

The smell, the smell, the smell.
There's no worse non-smoker than an ex-smoker and having smoked first tailor made, then rollies, then in later years pipes, I couldn't go back to my clothes, breath, or whatever stinking like that. I used to get lots of compliments from non-smokers about the smell from my pipe, but *shudder* I just don't want to go back to the smokey smell, accidental burns in clothing and early morning cough. I never cared about the health aspect anyway, so if there was the addendum, harmless, no bans and didn't stink like a tramp's armpit, then yes, I probably would smoke, if I could afford it. But if the smell stays, definitely not.

RE: Would you smoke if smoking were harmless and there were no bans?
Hmm, that's a tricky question. I'd probably dual use, mainly because I used to love chain smoking rollies when I drank alcohol. I haven't actually drunk alcohol since going full time vaping (12th Jan 2015), I think I'd end up smoking, the tie in was extremely strong.

I needed to quit fags for all the obvious reasons and one lesser thought about one. Smoking was a massive factor with regard to my suffering from impotence, didn't need a much bigger nudge than that.

I voted yes as most of the time I only buy juice.
I buy the odd bit now and again. My biggest spend so far has been my Squape R. The most I have spent on a mod was on a Zegelei Z Max way back in the day.

RE: Would you smoke if smoking were harmless and there were no bans?
Defo a bif fat NO from me as hate everything about stinkies now and tbh ashamed to once think i smelt like that everyday too non smokers , now i'm not against others smoking but i do try and show them the e-cig route and have converted at least 6 so far , 5 being the cheap ego/ce4 types and 1 with a nautilis and istick 40w and all 6 loving it BUT as alot have done they listened too newspapers , tv's ect about how bad e-cigs are now a few weeks down the line and their smell and taste is starting too come back they wish they had tried them sooner .Smug

Vaping isn't about harm reduction in chemical's for me or how harmfull , the smell , stained fingers , stinking clothes , if smoking indoors the yellow ceilings and tbh loads of other reason other than how harmful they are as everything these days are harmful , even burgers , bacon ect hitting the news today lol what next water? lol

RE: Would you smoke if smoking were harmless and there were no bans?
Yes, with no harm non of the anti smoking publicity would have ever existed, so there would be at least 60% of the population smoking as used to be the case, so smell not an issue as no ones got a sense of smell. With no harm vaping would never have been invented as there would have been no need to. With no harm no sin tax so much much cheaper.
So what's the downside? Ash? Staining? Never used to bother me when I smoked.
I used to like smoking, first thing I used to do after coming around on the ground/floor after coughing so much I'd passed out was gingerly have a fag, stressful experience coughing until you pass out Wink

Recently I went to a restaurant, the couple sitting next to me were obviously smokers, judging by the horrific odor of tramp/stale baccy coming from them, I needn't be sanctimonious now that I look back and people thought the same of me!
No I wouldn't smoke!

But as a never stopped smoker (because vaping or even NRT would never have existed) you wouldn't be aware of the smell - the question wasn't "if smoking was now harmless" it was if smoking was harmless i.e. it was, is and had always been harmless. Of course you aware of the smell now!! Wink
